The University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted a festive event “Qadriyatlaring boqiy bo‘lsin, Navro‘z!”

On March 25, 2026, at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, as part of the national holiday Navruz, a festive celebration entitled “Qadriyatlaring boqiy bo‘lsin, Navro‘z!”
The event was attended by Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the states of Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey, representatives of the leadership of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, teaching staff, university students, as well as invited guests.
The festive program began with the opening ceremony. The event began with the performance of the National Anthem and continued with a congratulatory speech by the First Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Rector of the University Sodyq Safoev.
In his speech, S. Safoev noted the significance of the Navruz holiday, emphasizing:
“Navruz is not only an ancient holiday, but also an important value that unites our peoples, strengthening friendship and mutual understanding. Today’s event is a clear reflection of the cultural closeness and mutual respect of the peoples of Central Asia.”
The cultural program featured performances reflecting the rich heritage of the peoples of the region. In particular, the audience was shown the folk game of Azerbaijan “Kos-Kosa”, the national performance of Turkmenistan, dombra melodies of Kazakhstan, the traditions of “Gul Sayli” and the national dance of Tajikistan, elements of the nomadic culture of Kyrgyzstan performed on the komuz, as well as the ritual traditions of “Nevruz” of Turkey. Uzbek national lapars and live musical performances occupied a special place in the program.
The event ended with a festive celebration on the university premises, where national dishes, cultural exhibitions and interactive activities were presented.
The holiday has become a vivid embodiment of the values of Navruz - friendship, mutual understanding, cultural diversity and respect between peoples.
