On February 9 of this year, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted a round table dedicated to the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, under the theme “Wise Woman – The Mirror of Society.”

The event was attended by distinguished women scientists from the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Mirzo Ulugbek District Administration, and the head of the Tashkent city “Women’s Enlightenment” advocacy group. Among the guests were female professors and young researchers active in scientific and military fields.

During the round table, the guests shared their views and recommendations regarding achievements in scientific activity, the role of women in society and science, and current ways to support and motivate them. Students also engaged in discussions, receiving practical advice on participating in research and shaping their future scientific careers.

The Women’s Advisory Council at UWED highlighted that the contribution of women to science, diplomacy, and public administration continues to grow, emphasizing that such round tables serve as a source of inspiration for young people.

Students actively participated in the dialogue, asking questions and sharing their opinions, fostering a lively discussion on the accomplishments and prospects of women in science.

The “Wise Woman – The Mirror of Society” round table marked an important step in promoting gender equality within the university and society, supporting women’s potential, and encouraging young people to engage in scientific research.

The event officially concluded, providing all participants with an opportunity for knowledge sharing and motivation.
