As part of the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On comprehensive measures to effectively protect the health of the population and the gene pool of the nation from drug addiction and drug crimes", an educational and preventive meeting was organized at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy under the slogan "Let's say no to drugs!".
This event was devoted to the issues of protection against the illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic drugs, the consequences of their use, as well as the harmful influence of religious extremist movements. The main purpose of the meeting is to increase the legal awareness and responsibility of young people, explain practical mechanisms for protecting against various harmful phenomena and directing them to a healthy lifestyle.
The event was held on the basis of a plan approved by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
At the meeting, the head of the criminal investigation department of the Department of Internal Affairs of the Mirzo-Ulugbek district, Major Kayumov Abdukhamid, as well as a master's student of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Pardaev Rakhmiddin Nurullaevich, who shared with students their practical experience, observations and information supported by the legal framework on the topic.
In the course of their speeches, experts explained the serious physical and mental harm caused by narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances to the human body, as well as spoke in detail about the legal consequences of crimes in this area. They emphasized the dangerous factors of falling under the influence of religious extremist ideas, methods that negatively affect the consciousness of young people, and the importance of strengthening spiritual immunity in the fight against this.
During the meeting, it was noted that a healthy lifestyle, physical activity, active participation in public life, respect for the law and responsible citizenship play an important role in the stability of society and the formation of young people as comprehensively developed personalities.
The event served to strengthen students' skills of vigilance, critical thinking, legal literacy and protection from the influence of harmful movements.
