From July 1 to 7, 2025, Associate Professor of the Department Uzbek and Russian Languages at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED), Shakhnoza Khudoykulova, took part in a professional development course titled “Application of Artificial Intelligence Programs in Education: From Classrooms to Laboratories”, held at Istanbul University (Turkey).
In the 21st century, the rapid advancement of information technologies is having a profound impact on the field of education. Traditional teaching methods are increasingly being complemented by modern, interactive, and digital tools. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in language learning, in particular, is transforming teaching approaches at a fundamental level.
During the course, participants were introduced to a range of AI-based tools, including language learning applications, automated translation systems, voice assistants, and platforms that assess students’ knowledge levels. Through hands-on sessions, participants explored the potential of these technologies to significantly enhance the quality of teaching and learning.
Additionally, the course emphasized the integration of modern methods into traditional teaching approaches to provide interactive, learner-centered, and outcome-oriented instruction. The sessions included lectures and discussions on the effective and appropriate use of AI in language education, and practical recommendations of both scientific and methodological value were shared.
