A training seminar on children's rights was held for the participants of the UWED Summer School

On July 15, 2025, a training seminar on "Children's Rights: International and National Legislation and Practice" was held for the participants of the UWED Summer School at the Legal Clinic of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. This event was aimed at increasing the level of knowledge of young people in the field of children's rights and developing practical skills.
At the seminar, the participants were given a detailed explanation of the international legal regulation of children's rights, in particular, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and other international documents. The issues of protecting children's rights in the national legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the practice of application and possible problems were also discussed.
Interactive methods were used during the seminar, and the participants had the opportunity to express their opinions on the topic. Through questions and answers, analysis of practical examples and group work, theoretical knowledge was supported by practical examples. This helped young people to delve deeper into the topic and develop critical thinking skills on current issues.
At the event, the head of the UWED Legal Clinic Z.S. Ubaydullaev, deputy chairman of the Commission on Culture, Sports and Gender Equality of the Youth Parliament under the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan K. Nizomiddinova, tutor of the Faculty of International Law A. Nasimjonov, as well as students of the Faculty of International Law - members of the UWED Legal Clinic J. Abdurakhmanov, F. Yusupalieva and K. Shermetov provided the participants of the UWED Summer School with valuable practical recommendations and information on the topic.
This seminar, conducted by specialists of the UWED Legal Clinic, became an important part of the summer school program and gave valuable knowledge and skills to young people who aspire to work in the field of law in the future. The main goal of the event is to educate the younger generation in the spirit of respect for human rights, in particular the rights of the child, and to encourage them to actively participate in the life of society.
