On 1 June 2026, lecturers of the Department of System Analysis and Mathematical Modelling held a seminar on &ldquo;Cybersecurity and Cyber Threats&rdquo; in the student dormitory of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.
Using real-life examples, they explained the main online risks and how students can protect themselves, and answered students&rsquo; questions.
The seminar helped improve students&rsquo; digital literacy and promote a safer online environment.

1 июня 2026 года в студенческом общежитии Университета мировой экономики и дипломатии преподаватели кафедры системного анализа и математического моделирования провели научно-практический семинар на тему &laquo;Кибербезопасность и киберугрозы&raquo;.
Студентам рассказали об основных угрозах в интернете и способах защиты от них, приведя примеры из жизни. Участники получили ответы на интересующие их вопросы.
Мероприятие способствовало повышению цифровой грамотности студентов и формированию безопасной онлайн-среды.

In October 2026, faculty members of the International Law Faculty at UWED, including the Dean, published five notable studies examining the rebuilding of Uzbekistan&rsquo;s legal institutions.
Murataev Serikbek Alpamysovich, Dean of the International Law Faculty, PhD in Law and Associate Professor, published an article titled <a href="https://www.tadqiqot.uz/index.php/law/issue/view/955">&ldquo;Significance and Essence of Legal Regulation of Higher Education Management Assessment,&rdquo;</a> in which he analyzed higher education governance and proposed a system of legally grounded efficiency indicators.
Umirzoqov Shohrukh, a Lecturer from the Department of Civil Law and Private International Law Disciplines, released a study on <a href="https://doi.org/10.47390/SPR1342V6I10Y2026N21">&ldquo;The Public Policy Exception in the Enforcement of Foreign Court and Arbitral Awards: An Analysis of Uzbekistan's Experience,&rdquo; </a>highlighting how statutory inconsistencies impact the investment climate.
Dilshod Soliyev, Senior Lecturer in the Department of International Law and Public Law Disciplines, contributed an article titled <a href="https://supportscience.uz/index.php/ojhpl/article/view/4886">&ldquo;Institutional Formation of the Administrative Court System in the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Stages of Its Legal Development,&rdquo;</a> tracing the five-stage evolution of the administrative court system from 1991 to 2020.
Mukhlisa Ibragimova, PhD, Lecturer in the Department of International Law and Public Law Disciplines, and an advocate at &ldquo;JUST JUSTICE&rdquo; and mediator, examined <a href="https://supportscience.uz/index.php/ojhpl/article/view/4866">&ldquo;Inter-Branch Legal Nature of the State Civil Service and Problems of Codification,&rdquo;</a> proposing a model of &ldquo;reforming institutional codification.&rdquo;
Finally, Professor Nugman Nugmanov, Doctor of Law, and Venera Sayfullaeva, Doctoral Student and Lecturer, both of the Department of International Law and Public Law Disciplines, analyzed <a href="https://www.tadqiqot.uz/index.php/law/issue/archive">&ldquo;The Treaty-Based Legal Framework for the International Regulation of Artificial Intelligence,&rdquo;</a> proposing that an international standard incorporating information security norms should now be adopted.
All together, these comparative studies reveal a legal system in transition - converging toward international standards while facing implementation gaps. We warmly congratulate our faculty on these publications and wish them continued success!

В октябре 2026 года представители факультета международного права Университета мировой экономики и дипломатии (УМЭД), включая декана факультета, опубликовали пять значимых научных исследований, посвященных развитию и совершенствованию правовых институтов Узбекистана.
Серикбек Алпамысович Муратаев, декан факультета международного права, доктор философии по юридическим наукам (PhD), доцент, опубликовал статью <a href="https://www.tadqiqot.uz/index.php/law/issue/view/955">&laquo;Значение и сущность правового регулирования оценки управления высшим образованием&raquo;.</a> В ней автор проанализировал вопросы управления системой высшего образования и предложил систему юридически обоснованных показателей оценки его эффективности.
Шохрух Умирзаков, преподаватель кафедры гражданского права и частноправовых дисциплин, представил исследование <a href="https://doi.org/10.47390/SPR1342V6I10Y2026N21">&laquo;Оговорка о публичном порядке при признании и приведении в исполнение иностранных судебных и арбитражных решений: анализ опыта Узбекистана&raquo;.</a> В статье рассматривается влияние противоречий в законодательстве на инвестиционный климат страны.
Дилшод Солиев, старший преподаватель кафедры международного права и публично-правовых дисциплин, опубликовал статью <a href="https://supportscience.uz/index.php/ojhpl/article/view/4886">&laquo;Становление системы административных судов в Республике Узбекистан и этапы её правового развития&raquo;.</a> Автор проследил пять основных этапов формирования и развития системы административных судов в период с 1991 по 2020 год.
Мухлиса Ибрагимова, доктор философии по юридическим наукам (PhD), преподаватель кафедры международного права и публично-правовых дисциплин, адвокат адвокатского объединения &lsquo;JUST JUSTICE&rsquo; и медиатор, исследовала <a href="https://supportscience.uz/index.php/ojhpl/article/view/4866">&laquo;Межотраслевую правовую природу государственной гражданской службы и проблемы её кодификации&raquo;.</a> В статье предложена модель институциональной кодификации в целях совершенствования правового регулирования государственной гражданской службы.
Нугман Нугманов, профессор, доктор юридических наук, и Венера Сайфуллаева, докторант и преподаватель кафедры международного права и публично-правовых дисциплин, представили совместное исследование <a href="https://www.tadqiqot.uz/index.php/law/issue/archive">&laquo;Международно-договорная правовая основа регулирования искусственного интеллекта&raquo;. </a>Авторы обосновывают необходимость принятия международного стандарта, включающего нормы в области информационной безопасности.
В совокупности эти исследования отражают процессы трансформации правовой системы Узбекистана, её сближения с международными стандартами, а также сохраняющиеся проблемы практической реализации правовых норм.

Career guidance services include individual and group consultations aimed at supporting students in career planning, professional orientation, and preparation for employment. These services help students better understand their strengths, interests, and career goals, while providing practical tools for entering the labour market.

The support covers CV and cover letter preparation, interview skills development, and guidance on effective job search strategies. Students are also provided with up-to-date information on labour market trends, employer expectations, and in-demand skills, enabling them to make informed career decisions and enhance their employability.

The university organises skills development workshops and training sessions designed to enhance students' practical, applied, and transferable skills required in the modern labour market. These activities complement academic learning and help students develop competencies relevant to professional environments.

Workshops are conducted with the involvement of HR professionals, industry experts, representatives of leading companies, banks, public institutions, international organisations, and other external stakeholders. UWED also invites specialists from major employers, including representatives of the Big Four and other prominent organisations, to share professional insights, labour market expectations, and practical advice with students.

The sessions focus on areas such as communication skills, teamwork, problem-solving, leadership, digital competencies, job search preparation, and broader professional development. UWED organises, coordinates, and monitors internship placements as an essential component of students' academic and professional development. Internship opportunities are provided through a broad network of partner organisations, ensuring that students gain practical experience aligned with their field of study and labour market requirements.

The university collaborates with a wide range of partners, including government institutions, ministries, international organisations, banks, research institutes, think tanks, and leading academic institutions. Key partners include the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Central Bank of Uzbekistan, the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, as well as leading research centres and policy institutions.

A qualifying internship is a mandatory part of the academic programme for students in their 3rd and 4th years of study:
• for 3rd-year students – during the summer period;
• for 4th-year students – during the winter period.

The duration of the internship typically ranges from 5 to 10 weeks, depending on the programme and academic requirements.

UWED regularly organises structured career events designed to connect students and graduates with employers and to facilitate dialogue on labour market expectations, internship opportunities, and entry-level recruitment requirements. Over recent years, the format of these events has been progressively refined in response to stakeholder needs and feedback.

In 2023, the university held a university-wide Career Day in a job fair format, bringing together more than 75 public and private organisations. The event supported graduate employment and enabled direct interaction between students, graduates, and employers through employer booths, consultations, and interviews.

In 2024, UWED continued the university-wide Career Day / Job Fair format with participation of more than 50 leading organisations, including ministries, state agencies, banks, consulting firms, and private companies.

In 2025, UWED introduced a more targeted approach through faculty-based Career Days, allowing employers to engage directly with specific academic programmes and student profiles. In the same year, the university also launched [UWED Career Fair 2025](/news/1081) / Career Week, with a stronger focus on private-sector engagement, combining employer sessions, soft skills and career development activities, and a large-scale career fair with direct recruitment interaction.

These events provide students with direct exposure to professional environments, help them better understand current labour market expectations, and create opportunities for networking, career exploration, internship placement, and future employment. They also serve as an important platform for strengthening university-employer cooperation and expanding professional opportunities for students and graduates.

An important platform for this work is the [Digital Education and Startup Acceleration Center](/divisions/66), which was opened at UWED in 2022 as part of the university's broader efforts to strengthen digital transformation and student innovation. The centre operates as an educational and startup development unit under the university and contributes to the creation of a more dynamic and innovation-oriented campus environment.

Dedicated facilities have been allocated for the centre on campus, including a 60-seat interactive classroom, a meeting room for discussions and brainstorming, coworking space, and a specialised room for project presentations. Through the centre, students can participate in consultations, competitions, hackathons, workshops, and incubation activities aimed at helping them refine ideas and develop viable startup projects. At UWED, basic medical support is available to help maintain the health and wellbeing of students, academic staff, and administrative staff. Medical assistance is provided through the university's Campus Medical Room, which serves as an on-campus point for primary healthcare support and consultation.

The service offers initial assistance and guidance on health-related concerns, as well as recommendations for further medical care where necessary.
