On April 30, 2026, the Department of Oriental Languages at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy organized a master class for third-year students of the International Economic Relations program. The theme of the master class was "Translation in the Age of Globalization and Modern Information Technology." The event was led by L. Khodjaev, Head of the Department of Practical Analysis of International Problems at the Diplomatic Academy of UWED.

A dedicated topic at the event was the use of digital tools and mobile applications in translation practice. The experts emphasized that modern services cannot yet guarantee absolute accuracy or convey all semantic nuances. In this regard, the value of deep linguistic knowledge and the expert human factor is growing.

The meeting also addressed the question of whether neural networks and applications can replace humans. The conclusion was unequivocal: gadgets often miss important details and context. This is precisely why a human translator, with their understanding of culture and regional nuances, remains indispensable.

The master class concluded with a lively discussion and a Q&A session. Participants noted the high practical value of the event in helping to overcome the language barrier.
