A “One Student - One Tree” campaign organized within the framework of the meeting between Leadership and Youth

In order to ensure the implementation of the priority tasks identified during the President’s meeting with young people on February 24 of this year, a number of practical initiatives are being organized at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy within the framework of the “Meeting Between Leadership and Youth.” These initiatives are aimed at increasing the social engagement of young people, supporting their proposals and initiatives, as well as systematically promoting environmental protection efforts.
Within this framework, a large-scale environmental event was organized under the slogan “One Student - One Tree” as part of the nationwide “Yashil Makon” project. The main purpose of the event was to green the university campus, ensure environmental sustainability, and further strengthen students’ sense of love for and responsibility toward nature.
The event was actively attended by the university administration, faculty members, and students. It was held in a highly organized and uplifting atmosphere, during which tree saplings were planted on the university grounds. During the planting process, specialists provided the necessary recommendations on proper planting, care, watering, and preservation of the saplings. This further enhanced not only the practical but also the educational significance of the event.
As part of the event, an open and sincere dialogue was also held between the students and the First Vice-Rector of the university, O. Yusupdjanov. During the discussion, students shared their views on issues of concern, existing problems, as well as various proposals and initiatives. It was emphasized that the proposals voiced would be carefully reviewed by the university leadership and that appropriate measures would be taken to implement them in practice.
At the conclusion of the event, it was noted that each planted tree would contribute in the future to improving the environmental condition of the university campus, purifying the air, and expanding green areas. At the same time, students developed a deeper understanding of the importance of treating the trees they planted responsibly and caring for them on a regular basis.
