A thematic event dedicated to the Holi festival was held at UWED

On March 25, 2026, the Department of Eastern Languages hosted a thematic event dedicated to one of the most vibrant events in India's cultural calendar - the Holi festival. The event was organized for students of Hindi to integrate cultural studies into the learning process.
The main focus of the meeting was on improving students' oral communication skills and expanding their active vocabulary. Through an interactive discussion, students learned about the historical origins, symbolism, and modern traditions of celebrating Holi. The event concluded with a workshop featuring interactive methods such as role-playing games, dialogues, and small-group discussions.
This learning format allowed the future international relations specialists to gain a deeper appreciation for the national character of India and reinforce their lexical skills in an atmosphere of lively dialogue. It also reaffirmed the importance of learning a second foreign language for a successful future professional career.
