    On February 25, at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, as part of the special course “Modern international relations, the world economy and the interests of Uzbekistan,” a lecture was held by the head of the Department of Environmental Diplomacy and Green Economy Projects of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan Behruz Mirzaev.

    During the speech, the geo-economic and geopolitical role of energy in the modern system of international relations, issues of energy security, diversification of the energy balance, as well as the development of renewable energy sources in Uzbekistan were discussed. Particular attention was paid to ongoing reforms in the energy sector, attracting foreign investment and strengthening the country's energy independence.

    The lecture aroused keen interest among students. At the end of the event, the lecturer answered in detail all questions from the participants and noted the importance of developing in future specialists a strategic vision of the relationship between energy, international politics and the national interests of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
