Biography Facts
Khan Valeriy Sergeyevich was born in 1959 in Karshi. He completed secondary school in Tashkent with a gold medal. In 1976, he entered the Philosophy Department of the Historical Faculty at Tashkent State University. In 1978, he transferred to the Faculty of Philosophy at Moscow State University, from which he graduated with honors in 1982. He continued his postgraduate studies at Moscow State University and completed them in 1985. In 1986, he defended his PhD thesis in Philosophy on the topic “Genesis of Elementary Logical Forms.” He was awarded the academic title of Associate Professor in 1992.
Since 2017, he has been serving as an Associate Professor at the Department of Political Science at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED).
Throughout his career, he has taught at various higher education institutions in Uzbekistan. He has served as an advisor to the rector and director of the Center for Strategic Development Planning at the National University of Uzbekistan named after M. Ulugbek; advisor to the rector and department head at the Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami; deputy director and senior researcher at the Institute of History of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan; and project leader for the State Committee for Science and Technology and the Ministry of Innovation.
He has international teaching experience, having taught in South Korea at Hoseo University (1998–2000), Hanyang University, and Sungkyunkwan University (2011).
He has delivered invited guest lectures at leading universities worldwide, including:
