    Biography Facts

    E. Sultanova is the founder of the subjects Political Marketing, Political Culture, Political Conflict Studies, and Political Technologies in Uzbekistan’s higher education system and the author of their key textbooks and curricula. She has supervised 3 PhD dissertations, with 3 more in progress, acted as an opponent for 7 dissertations, and guided over 100 bachelor and 40 master’s theses.

    She has served on academic councils of UWED, the National University of Uzbekistan, and the University of Oriental Studies. She is a long-standing member of the Scientific Council for awarding academic degrees at UWED and previously chaired the DSc Specialized Council (2019–2021), currently serving as its member and Scientific Seminar Chair.

    Since 1995, she has been actively involved in advancing women’s socio-political participation as an expert of the Senate Committee on Women and Gender Equality, Chair of the Public Council under the Ministry of Preschool Education, member of several women’s public councils in Tashkent, and Chair of the “Olima” Women’s Association. She also serves on the Zulfiya State Prize Commission (Science). Since 1998, she has led the UWED Women’s Committee, and since 2020, the UWED Advisory Council on Women’s Issues.

    Her doctoral work was the first in Uzbekistan to study the status of women’s organizations during independence, and its findings have been applied in national legislation and policy on women’s issues since 1995.

    She has been awarded numerous state and institutional honors, including distinctions from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Higher Education, Women’s Committee, the Youth Union, and the SCO Public Diplomacy Center, as well as the “Mu’tabar Ayol” (2019) and “I-degree Veteran of Labor” (2021) breast badges.

    E. Sultanova continues to contribute actively to youth development and professional training, recognized as a dedicated mentor and respected academic leader.
