Biography Facts
Saidkasimov Saidmukhtar Saidgaziyevich was born in 1947 in Tashkent. Doctor of Philosophy (1987), Professor (1992), Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan (1994).
Between 1991 and 1998, he held senior positions in the Government of Uzbekistan, including Presidential Advisor, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Prime Minister, Chair of the National Commission for UNESCO, and Rector of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy.
From 1998 to 2018, he lectured as a visiting professor at leading foreign universities including Harvard, Princeton, MIT, Boston University, Oxford, LSE, SOAS, and major universities in Korea. He led large-scale international socio-humanitarian projects in cooperation with UNESCO, the World Bank, EBRD, USAID, NATO and other organizations, and authored numerous works in the fields of international relations, political philosophy, globalization, nation-building, philosophy of religion and ethnoconflictology.
