Biography Facts
Nargiza Sodikova is a senior lecturer at the Department of International Relations at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. She received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in International Relations from UMED. She started her activities at the Department of Siesatshunoslik from December 1, 2019 and was involved in teaching subjects such as History of Diplomacy, Social Philosophy. Since October 19, 2021, she continued her activity in the Department of International Relations. Since the beginning of her activity at the department she was involved in teaching such disciplines as “Theory of International Relations”, “Basics of Diplomacy, ‘Diplomatic Protocol and Etiquette’, ‘Geopolitics’, ‘World Politics’. In addition to teaching at UMED, N. Sodikova is engaged in scientific activities as a doctoral candidate at UMED. In the course of her activity she participated in the projects of GCRF Compass, Tashkent Jean Monnet Center of Excellence for European Studies. She participated with a report at international training conferences, such as 'Human Security in a Globalizing World' organized by GCRF COMPASS Early Career Researcher Training School ADA University, Baku, at an international conference organized by the University of Tartu, Estonia “Fifth Annual Tartu Conference on Russian and East European Studies 6-8 June” (in online format), at the international conference “Past, current and future dynamics in the Central Asian region and their (possible) impact to Europe” organized by the University of Ghent, Belgium and at conferences held at UMED and other universities of the Republic. At present she is engaged in scientific research in the field of the European Union's Foreign Policy Strategy in Central Asia. Her research also covers such topics as EU foreign policy, EU Global Strategy and sustainable development.
