    Biography Facts

    Muzaffar Munavvarov has joined the Department of International Relations at University of World Economy & Diplomacy (UWED). His faculty appointment began on September 2023. Earlier in 2022, he was associate professor at the Diplomatic Academy of the Foreign Ministry of Uzbekistan.

    His research focuses on the study of historical evolution of diplomatic method with emphasis on changing nature of diplomacy and diplomatic practice, the geopolitical dynamics of competition of the United States, Russia and China on sub-regional level, postcolonial and decolonial process and its impact on nation-building in Central Asian republics. 

    Munavvarov M. earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Duquesne University in 1999; his master’s degree in Diplomatic Studies from Westminster University in 2004, and doctor of philosophy degree from UWED in 2007. He has a number of scientific articles published in European, Arab, and Central Asian academic journals.
