Aygul Sekerova is a Senior teacher at the Department of English, UWED. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in English philology from the Uzbek State University of World Languages and received a master's degree from the same university UzSWLU).

In 2002, she began working as an English teacher at UzSWLU. In 2005, she was invited to UWED to the position of English teacher and currently works as a Senior  English teacher at the Faculty of International Relations.

At UWED she worked as a teacher of conference interpreting at the Simultaneous Interpreters Training Center. Aygul Sekerova won a grant of the “Istedod” Presidential Foundation and was sent to improve her qualifications at Shanghai University, China. She was also sent on business trips to Moscow at MGIMO more than once on conference interpreting and English language teaching program.

A Sekerova worked at such universities as MGIMO and the Gubkin University of Oil and Gas as an English teacher. She has more than 14 scientific publications on methods of teaching English, has published 2 textbooks on ESP for the 2nd year students of the Faculty of International Relations. Currently working on English textbook for political science students, and also participating in the “IAIS Volunteers” project.
