    Biography Facts

    Surayyo Usmanova is an Associate Professor at the Department on International Law and Public Law Disciplines at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. 

    Previously, Surayyo worked as a Senior Scientific Staff at Tashkent State Law University and as a Lecturer of the department of International Relations at the International Islamic Academy of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Surayyo Usmanova is a visiting scholar at Elliot school of International Affairs of the George Washington University (Central Asia Program, the USA).

    Surayyo Usmanova holds both her Bachelor’s degree in Law (with honours) and Master’s degree in Diplomatic and Consular Law (with distinction) from the University of World Economy and Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan. She also advanced her qualifications at the Riga Graduate School of Law in Latvia, the World Trade Institute of the University of Bern in Switzerland and the ADA University in Azerbaijan. She is a PhD in Law and her research primarily focused on: “International – legal cooperation of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the sphere of tourism development” and now she is doing her post-doctoral research on “International-legal regulation of tourism services under the GATS in the conditions of Uzbekistan’s accession to the WTO”.
