On June 3-5 of this year, students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, accompanied by employees of the Office for Youth Affairs, gave an official start to a large-scale project of domestic tourism under the slogan "Travel around Uzbekistan!".

This project was organized with the aim of widely promoting the historical and cultural heritage among young people throughout Uzbekistan, further strengthening students' sense of patriotism, national pride and devotion to values. At the same time, it serves to unleash the potential of domestic tourism, educate the younger generation on the basis of historical ties between regions, cultural diversity and traditions.

The first stage of the project was implemented in the Fergana Valley - one of the regions of our country with the most ancient and unique cultural heritage. In particular, students visited the cities of Fergana, Margilan and Rishtan, where they got acquainted with historical monuments, centers of applied art, modern tourism infrastructure and handicraft traditions of the region.

The city of Kokand - the heart of the Fergana Valley, the center of culture and politics with an ancient history, aroused great interest among students. The participants visited the architectural monuments of the Kokand Khanate period, in particular, the Khudoyarkhan Palace, the Norbutabiy Madrasah, the Jami Mosque, and got acquainted with the unique cultural environment of the city of Kokand. Also in the Center of Artisans of Kokand, master classes in national embroidery, wood carving and jewelry art were organized.

Margilan, as one of the important centers of the ancient Silk Road, amazed students with its traditions of atlas and adras weaving, artisan mahallas and museums of folk applied art. Young people were able to directly observe the process of weaving satin in the famous workshop "Yodgorlik" and take part in it themselves.

In Rishtan, a city famous for incomparable examples of pottery, students got acquainted with the unique glazed handmade vessels of Rishtan potters, national decorative art and a craft school passed down from generation to generation.

The city of Fergana has demonstrated the harmony of the national and the modern with its innovative approaches to urban planning. Students got acquainted with the sights of the city, cultural centers and historical monuments.

Also within the framework of the trip, special attention was paid to meetings with parents, organized within the framework of the project "One Family - One Goal". These meetings were held in the form of an open dialogue about the success of students in the educational process, personal development and plans for the future. Parents, traveling with their children, had the opportunity to directly observe their learning, learning about cultural heritage and taking life seriously.

At the meeting, teachers and staff, parents and students exchanged views on the crucial role of a strong bond between the family and the educational institution in the education of young people. At the same time, parents received direct information about the activities of the university, educational approaches and organizational projects in which their children study.

During this trip, not only visits to historical and cultural sites were organized, but also cultural and educational meetings and lessons of communication with artisans. This serves to enrich students' knowledge, expand their thinking and form them as specialists with a modern worldview.

The project is planned to continue in other regions of the republic, and each visit will become a kind of school, an invaluable lesson and an unforgettable experience for the younger generation.
