In order to improve the quality of French language teaching and expand international cooperation, a bilateral cooperation agreement was signed between the University of World Economy and Diplomacy and the Tashkent French Alliance (Alliance Française de Tachkent). Within the framework of this agreement, a foreign specialist - a graduate of the Paris Sorbonne University Gaspard Barthélemy - was involved in the UWED educational process from France.

As part of the specialist's visit to the university, a presentation ceremony was held. The event was attended by the First Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs A. Umarov, Director of the Tashkent French Alliance D. Akhmedov, Head of the Department of Romance and Germanic Languages V. Mamatkasimova and Head of the Office of International Academic Cooperation G. Mirkhalilova. During the meeting, the main areas of cooperation, the possibilities of introducing foreign experience, as well as new methods of teaching French were discussed.

In accordance with the agreement on cooperation in the educational process, it is planned to conduct practical classes, seminars, master classes on the culture of the language and cultural events with the participation of a foreign teacher.

The university administration considers this initiative as an important step towards improving the quality of education, studying international experience and expanding opportunities for intercultural dialogue for students.
