UWED hosted a meeting on the issues of protecting young people from the influence of extremist ideas
On September 19 of this year, at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Associate Professor of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan, member of the Propaganda Society "Ma'rifat" Saidafzal Saidjalolov gave a report on "Protecting Youth from Extremist Ideas - a Factor of Stability".
The event was attended by the faculty and students of UWED.
In his speech, S. Saidzhalov emphasized the growing threats from extremist ideologists against young people. He singled out such key factors of vulnerability of the young generation as the search for identity, social pressure and emotional instability.
The speaker also emphasized the importance of educational initiatives and programs aimed at developing critical thinking and media literacy. He offered a number of recommendations for creating a safe and supportive environment for young people, including organizing cultural events and volunteer projects.
During the event, participants actively discussed the proposed ideas and shared their own views on ways to combat radicalism and extremism.
