UWED hosted a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the State of Kuwait

On May 16 of this year, the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) hosted a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the State of Kuwait, Ayubkhon Yunusov.
The event was attended by UWED faculty members and students who showed great interest in issues of foreign policy and international cooperation.
During the meeting, Ambassador Yunusov provided a detailed overview of the political and economic situation in Kuwait and analyzed the current state and prospects of Uzbek-Kuwaiti relations. He highlighted the positive dynamics in political dialogue, trade, economic cooperation, and investment interactions.
Particular attention was given to strengthening international academic cooperation. The Ambassador emphasized the importance of establishing close ties between diplomatic missions and educational institutions, noting that such events facilitate knowledge exchange, practical collaboration, and help students gain a deep understanding of the mechanisms of foreign policy.
The Ambassador also shared his extensive experience in the diplomatic service, speaking about his professional journey and key aspects of building an effective diplomatic career. He offered practical advice to students interested in international relations, stressing the importance of skills such as analytical thinking, diplomatic ethics, foreign language proficiency, and intercultural communication.
Students actively engaged in the discussion, asking questions about Uzbekistan’s cooperation with the Gulf States, examples of successful investment and educational projects, and career opportunities in the field of foreign policy.
At the end of the meeting, the possibility of expanding cooperation between UWED and Kuwaiti academic and diplomatic institutions was discussed. The Ambassador expressed his readiness to support initiatives aimed at developing bilateral academic ties, noting the significance of such dialogues for training highly qualified professionals in the field of international relations.
