UWED STUDENTS SUCCESSFULLY PARTICIPATED IN THE REPUBLICAN-WIDE "CRYPTOLOGY” SCIENCE OLYMPIAD

On November 14 of this year, UWED students actively participated in the prestigious Republican Science Olympiad "Cryptology" held by the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi, demonstrating high levels of preparation and competitiveness.
In these Olympiads, students of the Uzbek State University of Information and Communication Technology participated under the leadership of I. Yarashov, an expert in the field of cryptography and cybersecurity, associate professor of the Department of “System Analysis and Mathematical Modeling”. He organized special training sessions in order to prepare students in a deep and systematic manner and explained in detail the strategic approaches used in solving complex cryptanalysis problems through practical examples. During the sessions, he not only focused on the formation of algorithmic thinking, but also provided important methodological instructions on the step-by-step analysis of each problem, choosing the optimal solution and minimizing errors in the calculation process. Also, before the Olympiad, he armed his students with effective methods of approaching problems correctly, the main cryptographic elements that need to be paid attention to, and solid skills in deep analysis of data. All this ultimately had a significant impact on the success of the students.
During the Olympiad, students of the UWED demonstrated their thorough theoretical preparation and practical skills. They achieved high results by effectively solving modern cryptographic algorithms, information security protocols, and complex encryption problems. This competition further strengthened innovative and analytical thinking among students, bringing them to a new level in logical analysis, modeling problem situations, and solving practical problems. As a result, the Olympiad not only increased the effectiveness of the educational process, but also became an important field of experience for students in the pursuit of practical knowledge and scientific research.
It is worth noting that this prestigious scientific competition, in which more than 70 students from 27 higher education institutions across the republic participated, created an opportunity to test the scientific and practical knowledge of students.
