    UWED hosted a mentoring hour entitled “Our Common Home: Lessons from Uzbekistan's Leading Women”, dedicated to the International Day for Tolerance

    The University of World Economy and Diplomacy hosted a spiritual and educational event "Our Common Home: Lessons of Leading Women of Uzbekistan", dedicated to the International Day of Tolerance. The event was organized by the Women's Council of the University.

    The purpose of this mentoring hour was to strengthen the feelings of tolerance, mercy, interethnic harmony and mutual respect in the minds of students, as well as to educate the younger generation in the spirit of dedication and responsibility on the example of the life and work of women leaders.

    The event was attended by People's Artist of Uzbekistan, famous TV presenter Galina Vitalievna Melnikova and Professor of the Department of Uzbek and Russian Languages of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy Galina Madraimovna Rakhmatullaeva.

    In their speeches, the guests emphasized that Uzbekistan as a multinational society is developing on the basis of the values of strong harmony, respect and tolerance. They also shared their personal life path, experience of creative and scientific activities and gave students important advice on how to become leaders in their field, think independently and boldly strive to achieve their dreams.

    During the event, the students asked the guests their questions, in an atmosphere of sincere conversation and warm communication, exchanged views on the importance of tolerance in human life.

    At the end of the mentoring hour, the participants were given recommendations on the need to put into practice the ideas of tolerance, friendship and mutual respect, to take an active civic position in society.
