UWED representative delivers an SDG-aligned open lesson on “Health and Sports” at a public school

A UWED lecturer from the Department of Uzbek and Russian Languages, Ruhayo Abdumuminova, delivered an open lesson entitled “Health and Sports. The Instrumental Case”. The session combined health awareness with practical language learning and was conducted in a way that supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly through promoting well-being and quality learning outcomes.
The lesson began with a clear introduction to the topic and objectives, followed by a discussion on the importance of health and physical activity. Learners then explored how sports and movement contribute to personal health and broader societal well-being. The main part focused on practicing the instrumental case using topic-related language materials through interactive methods, including guided discussion, movement-based activities, speaking tasks, and pair/group work. The lesson concluded with reflection and a summary of practical actions for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
