    Biography Facts

    Shokhsanam Usmanova is a skilled English language instructor and dedicated researcher in online teaching methodologies. Currently working at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy in Tashkent, she brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles at the Tashkent Branch of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO), where she served as an ESP Instructor in 2023, and at International House Tashkent’s Academic Lyceum, where she has been an EFL Teacher. In her teaching, Shokhsanam focuses on developing students' specialized vocabulary, grammar, and communication skills for specific academic and professional contexts. Her lessons are crafted to integrate listening, speaking, reading, and writing in ways that reflect real-world scenarios, helping students achieve language proficiency with practical applications.

     

    Shokhsanam is actively pursuing her PhD with research centered on online teaching through Google Classroom, seeking to enhance digital language teaching methods. Her academic background includes an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Webster University, completed in 2023, where she developed a strong foundation for teaching English to diverse learners, both in the United States and in international settings. She also holds a BA in Business Administration from Westminster International University in Tashkent (2014-2017), which provided her with a solid understanding of business principles in areas such as marketing, finance, management, and business strategy.

    Shokhsanam has also contributed valuable insights to the field through her research publications, including "Foreign Language Learning and Teaching: New Approaches and Innovations," where she explores modern methodologies in language education. Her article "Pedagogical Characteristics of Enhancing Writing Skills through Online Tools" delves into effective strategies for using digital platforms to strengthen writing skills. In "Developing Students' Vocabulary through Inside and Outside Classroom Learning," she emphasizes comprehensive vocabulary-building methods, and her work on "Categories of Evaluation and Assessments" examines diverse approaches to evaluating language proficiency.
