    On December 1, 2023, the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Yekaterinburg and the Department of Constitutional Law of the Ural State Law University named after V.F. Yakovlev held a round table with international participation “The Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan: the legal path to a New Uzbekistan”, dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic Uzbekistan. During the event, issues related to the implementation of the constitutional reform of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2023, summing up the transformation of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2023, development of the humanitarian moral potential of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, strengthening of spiritual and moral constitutional values ​​were discussed; the development of civil society in the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the importance of strengthening and enhancing friendly relations of Uzbekistan with the international community and, above all, with neighboring countries, as well as the importance of the amendments to the Constitution in increasing the effectiveness of ongoing reforms.

    The event was organized in a hybrid format, with the participation of representatives of government agencies and scientific and educational institutions.

    The event was attended by teachers of the Faculty of International Law: Khamedov I.A., Nugmanov N.A., Yusuvalieva R.Yu., Israilova Z.S. and others.

    In general, during the discussions, the participants of the event agreed that the Constitution of Uzbekistan in the new edition represents a set of important, timely and, to a certain extent, progressive norms aimed at further strengthening the rights and freedoms of the individual, the development of civil society and the state as a whole.
