International Relations Faculty Day

In the University of World Economy and Diplomacy on the 27th of November was held “International Relations Faculty Day” and “Golden Tie Awards – 2008” which was devoted to “2008 – The Year of Youth”
The International Relations Faculty prepares highly-skilled personnel for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and also for the ministries, departments and the organizations of our country concerning with the foreign states, for embassies and the international organizations. At International Relations Faculty the future diplomats of Uzbekistan are prepared.
It became a tradition to celebrate the International Relations Faculty Day in the University of World Economy and Diplomacy almost every year. But this one was rich in content, more interesting and well organized. In this significant event there were invited all the professors, teachers, students and as well as diplomatic representatives.
Senior student A’zamov Behzod and Diora Sadikova were hosts of this event. The audience was very delighted to hear and see the performances, songs and a lot of entertaining stuff presented by students of the faculty. There were also amusing video reel. Within this was held the ceremony of “Golden Tie Awards – 2008”. By ten nominations, two respected teachers and eight talented students were awarded.
Besides, the dean of the International Relations Faculty was rightfully awarded with the special golden tie as a prize for his significant contribution and deep interest in the academic life of the students.
After the ceremonial party the guests and students were invited to the “Palav Party” where they enjoyed various dishes and sweets served in the sake of the International Relations Faculty Day.
It is also worth noting the organizers role, which could be easily noticed from the high level preparedness of the event. For their responsible attitude and participation with great enthusiasm they were awarded with “gratitude letters” by the university administration.
Due to the efforts of the faculty activists “the International Relations Faculty Day” has turned out to be the real great holiday which united and inspired all the students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy. Undoubtedly this event will for long time be remembered as the brightest holiday in the minds of those who had the chance to taste the joy and love the International Relations faculty distributed on that very blessed Day!
