Department of social and humanitarian science of the International relations has been founded by joining of departments of “Political science and histories” and “Psychology and sociology” in 2005.

At stages of a bachelor degree, a magistracy and postgraduate study this department acquaints with the Theory and practice of a democratic society construction in Uzbekistan, History of Uzbekistan and world history, psychology, pedagogic, sociology, bases of political sciences, philosophy, natural sciences, laws and principles of social development, the person and his problems, scientifically-philosophical bases of prospects of independent Uzbekistan.

 

At this department work highly skilled professors and teachers who teach in following subjects: “The theory and practice of construction of a democratic society in Uzbekistan”, “social and political history of Uzbekistan”, “World social and political history”, “Bases of political science”, "Cultural science", “Bases of spirituality”, "Religious studies", "Ethics", "Aesthetics", "Logic", "Philosophy", “Philosophy of science”, “the Concept of the modern humanities”, “Bases of psychology and sociology”, “Social psychology”, “Legal psychology”, “AIDS and narcotism psycho preventive maintenance”, “Pedagogical skill and pedagogical technologies”, “Psychology of diplomacy”.

 

In the pedagogical, sociopolitical activity on a level with theoretical knowledge practical seminars holds in the form of trainings, debate, discussions with use of leading methods and principles of the education, the traditional national pedagogical methods, new technologies. In educational process video and the audio materials given by the international organizations, for example by United Nations representation in Uzbekistan and UNESCO is used.

The department staff accepts active participation in preparation of textbooks, methodical instructions, and monographies for the higher and special educational institutions of Republic of Uzbekistan . The department staff develops not only pedagogical, but also scientific activity. In particular, they actively participate in the textbooks given by our state and the International organizations.

At the same time, experts of department work in relations with experts of leading foreign universities, in particular, Free University of Brussels (Belgium), the Maastricht university and the European educational center (Netherlands), conduct lectures and scientifically-practical seminars in the various countries, such as India, England, France, Korea, Sweden, Pakistan, the Russian Federation, Macedonia, etc.

At level of university the department spends works with the presented students. At department clubs “Young leaders” and “Creative thinking” constantly function. These clubs give the chance to students to develop the mental faculties and organizing skills.
