World Economy and International Economics

Established in 1992, the main aim of the Department of World Economy and International Economics is to train high skilled specialists in the sphere of World economy and International economics. Hence, the Department accomplishes pedagogical, scientific and educational-methodological activities.

The Department stuff consists of 3 Ph.D. professors, 6 Ph.D. associate professors and 6 senior teachers.

The Department offers wide range of courses that are related to World Economy and International Economics disciplines and their development tendencies to the students of IER, IR, IL faculties

At these faculties the students have an opportunity to study the disciplines that are stated below: World economy; Management of External Economic Activities; Management Essentials; National Economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan; International Economic Organizations. Specially for fresh year students World Economic Geography has been taught since 1998.

Nowadays, at the Department a research is being taken on the theme “The tendency of the development of the external economic activities of Uzbekistan”.

The Department of the World Economy and International Economics has international co-operation with Hitotsubashi University (Japan), Department of World Economy of Adjou University (South Korea), the Economic Development Institute (World Bank), the Center for retraining teachers at Moscow State University, the Department of World Economy (Moscow State Institute of International Relations) as well as some other similar departments of universities of CIS countries.
